My internal Linux server that I use for home automation, among other things, suffered a power supply fan failure that caused a power supply failure. Both of my Debian Linux servers are 10+ years old. I decided to start looking for replacements. It turns out that resellers are quite proud of old hardware. I couldn't find anything online for less than $100. Knowing that people trash old computers all the time, I simply started asking around. Soon I saved two systems from the landfill. While I was at it I upgraded Debian to Lenny and TikiWiki to 3.2. I sure like the speed of TikiWiki on this new hardware.

So now I'm off to rebuild my Misterhouse system and while I'm at it I need to install something to monitor my servers for temperature faults. Humm.....
